One last stop before bed

Encourage children to use the bathroom before hopping into bed, to help keep them from needing to get up during the night. What tips or tricks work with your child to get them to use the bathroom before bedtime?

my son is 9 and has allways wet the bed i feel i have tryed every thing we have tryed slowing down on drink and making sure these drinks r not dark drinks like black currant as my son wont drink water or milk this can be very hard but we got on with it i was like all i was doing was filling him up all day but when he was at school this was also very hard coz i was not with him all day did tryto get school to help but owen is not the only child at school mmmm nite mare this was few months ago we were getting the odd night ere and there what where dry yay but this wasnt often so i took him to see doc we were sent to see school nurse they gave us some tips what to do like hour before bed go to the toilet get ready for bed then a story when hour was up go to the toilet again then of to bed i was told dont wake him in the night coz that was what i allways did and at this point we were given the tablet DESMOMELT .we were told if he dont drink enough this tablet could do him harm so on we went just needed to see an end as it was there was no end infact we didnt even get a single dry night. when we went back to the doctors it was like they didnt care my son has had enough of it dont like wet bed dont like wet clothes we have try pull ups but they were making him sore so coz my son had attiuide like he didnt care they seem to have given up as well so with that i went to health visitor who gave me some very good bed pads what grate they save the bed but not clothes and we get new ones every 6 monthes but i feel the wetting prob has just been ignored by every body accept me and my son. many thanks jo and owen
