I need some advice. I have a 9 year old son, Mike, 7 and 4 year year old daughter, Lisa, & Angie. My son wears goodnites to bed sometime, usually when he spends the night at the grandparents.
My problem is with my 7 year old daughter. The other night I peeked into the girls' room and saw the two of them playing house which isn't too unusual but this time I saw my 4 year old wearing one of her diapers way before she had to go to bed. She wears them to bed because she still has accidents every night. She wears Luvs size 5. I also bought size six for her but they are too big right now. Well I didn't think it was too bad that she was wearing one so early but then I say her putting a diaper one on her sister, Angie. I didn't know what to do so I just walked away.
I went to the living room to watch tv and think of what I should do or say to them but I didn't want to embarrase her or punish her because I don't think it is really a bad thing that they are doing, I am just wondering why they are doing it.
Well an hour later the girls came down to watch tv and get something to drink. I think they were both wearing diapers but couldn't really tell because they had their pj's on. Well I didn't say anything that night and let them go to bed.
Last night I suspected the same thing when they were very quit in their room. I went up there and peeked in to see both of them wearing diapers and playing with their dolls which were also in little doll diapers. I thought to myself that I had to say something but I always hated when my mom was so nosy with my stuff so I walked away.
Later that night before bed I went up to their room so put them to bed and they were both in their pj's so I tucked them in. When I was sitting on Lisa's bed, I told her I needed to put her diaper on her but she told me she already had it on. I asked her why and she told me that Angie put it on her because they were playing house and she was pretending to be the baby. I said aaww isn't that cute then tickled her a little then gave her a kiss and said goodnight. I went over to Angies bed and was going to tuck her in then I asked her, do you want to be a little baby to? She said, "don't be silly mommy". I just laughed and tickled her and said "are you too big to be a baby. I really wanted her to confess without actually telling her I knew. As I tickled her, she began to laugh a lot, so I tickled her more, she was laughing so hard that she couldn't take it anymore and said to stop because she was going to pee. I kept it up to see if she would pee or confess. It was so funny seeing laugh so hard, she kept saying stop, I am going to pee, I am going to pee. She was crossing her legs trying to hold it back but I knew she wouldn't be able to much longer. Finally her legs went straight and I knew she had just peed. I stopped tickling her and asked her if she peed but she said no. Then Lisa said "I bet she wet her diaper". Angie had such an angry look on her face toward her sister. I asked her if she was wearing a diaper, she said no. I told her that I wanted to see so I pulled down her blankets and lifted her night shirt. Sure enough she had on a diaper. One of the luvs size 6. I asked her why she was wearing one too and she told me it was because they both wanted to pretend to be babies when they were playing house. I just said aawww that is ok. I kind of figured you had one on. She asked if I was mad at her and I told her not at all. Then I looked a liitle closer and felt her diaper and noticed it was wet. I told her she needed to get out of the wet diaper. She looked very sad and said she was sorry she peed her diaper. I told her it was on and that it is better than wetting her pj's or bed. She smiled at me and said thank you for not being mad. I said your welcome now lets get your diaper changed. So I grabbed a new diaper and sat by her on the bed and started to untape her wet diaper. She said "your going to put a new diaper on me"? I said "well if you want to pretend to be a baby tonight, I will diaper you. She gave me a smile and said I love you mommy.
Well that is the first time diapered Angie in over 3 years. I was very surprised that the luvs size 6 fit so well on her. I tucked her in and gave her a kiss.
Is it wrong for her to wear diapers? She isn't hurting anything so I think it is ok and she gets alog with her little sister so well when they play.
Let me know your thoughts.

I don't see anything wrong with it. If anything it provides her younger sister moral support. If Luvs size 6 becomes too tight, you may want to buy her some Pampers size 7.
Your children are lucky to have such an understanding mother.

Well our 8 year old wanted to same thing, so we went out and purchased diapers for her and she wore them for 3 weeks at night. Finally,she decided to go back to underpants for big girls so I see no problem and if she wants to wear diapers that's fine. No harm done.

well first make sure Lisa and Angie are not having any problems.


if you don't really care - just let them use the diapers


if you want this to stop before school starts-


"potty training" ( remember this is just a game) - first let them stay in diapers for a day or two (the whole day).

THEN - switch them to the step in pampers pull ons. explain to them they need to go IN the potty. and give them a small prize when they do.
EX. an m&m for pee and maybe a sticker for poop

I don't see any harm in letting them wear diapers
it is something they should eventually out grow
so, why not enjoy having your babies again.

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything here. It has been very hectic with school going on now. Trying to keep the girls busy with their homework.
Well since the last time I was on here the girls have been wearing diapers a little more. They don't wear them to school but they do wear them almost everyday after they get home. I put both of them in diapers if they ask me to, then they wear them the rest of the night and to bed. Sometimes they wet them and sometimes they ask to use the toilet. They have never done #2 in them which is good. That is one thing I always hated to clean up.
They are being very good girls and always getting along well together so I don't mind them wearing diapers when we are at home. They are actually adorable in their baby diapers. It would be nice if they could stay little for a long time. Kids grow up so fast.

I would like to know if any other parent have children around their age that wear baby diapers for fun or if they actually need to.

I am using Luvs size 5 & 6. They work very well. The bear hug design is great. They are a lot less money than pullups too.

it must be a girl thing or something.I have to girls 11 and 14 and both like to wear diapers.my 11 year old need them at night but wears them 24/7 just not to school.both of them have pacifers and some other baby stuff.I asked them why they do it and they just say its fun and cute.maybe one day they will grow up.
